Aidan grew up in Suffolk Park near Byron Bay. After studying environmental science at Southern Cross University in Lismore and a year of traveling overseas, he moved to Queensland where he completed a personal training qualification, a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science, and went on the complete a Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Queensland.
Aidan has worked in a variety of settings since graduating which has allowed him to develop a diverse range of clinical skills and knowledge. Aidan has six years of private practice experience on the Sunshine Coast in Caloundra and Mooloolaba where he became adept at treating general musculoskeletal conditions including lower back, neck, shoulder, hip, knee, and ankle conditions. Working in private practice also provided great experience working as part of a team with referring GP’s and specialists to treat WorkCover, GP care plans, and post-operative patients. Over the past year, Aidan has worked in the public hospital system in both Maclean and Kingaroy where he developed great skills in falls prevention and developing strengthening programs with elderly deconditioned patients, management of hip, knee osteoarthritis, and chronic pain conditions.
Throughout his career, Aidan has maintained a strong involvement in sports. While studying he worked as the Sports trainer for UQ Rugby and AFL teams. On the Sunshine Coast, he worked as the team physiotherapist for Caloundra FC for three years and Sunshine Coast fire for one year. With a passion for surfing, Aidan began working with recreational to professional surfers as a treating physiotherapist and strength and conditioning coach. During this time he covered surfing events on the Sunshine Coast for Surfing Queensland and Volunteered with the World Surf League helping out at the Snapper Rocks and Teahupoo events.
Aidan is a strong believer that movement is medicine, something that he practices in his own life. In his spare time, he loves being active, surfing, yoga, boxing, mountain biking, running, social soccer, and attending the gym. When he is not out sporting he loves downtime with his partner and their two dogs Hugo and Ceasar.
